About Us

The Chicago Irish Dance Studio aims to build community through Irish dance. We strive to create an inclusive, fun environment where dancers of all ages can learn.

From traditional Irish dance and competition classes to performance choreography and social classes, Chicago Irish Dance Studio offers a wide range of learning opportunities.

Emily Mickus grew up in Michigan, Irish dancing competitively for over 15 years. She later danced professionally, touring across Europe and Asia. Emily moved to Limerick, Ireland in 2017 where she received her Masters degree in Irish Dance Performance.

After moving back to the US, Emily received her TCRG (Irish Dance teacher certification) in 2022 and founded the Chicago Irish Dance Studio in 2023.
